Description
Lecithin is a phospholipid and is one of the richest sources of 2 key nutrients: choline and inositol. These two nutrients are lipotropic agents, playing an important role in the emulsification of fats and their liver catabolism. Lecithin is the main dietary source of choline in the form of phosphatidylcholine. Phosphatidylcholine is then converted in the body to choline, which is one of the most important B-complex vitamins.
In addition to their role in fat metabolism, lecithin and choline are used by the body as building blocks of cell membranes and to facilitate the passage of fats through them. Finally, choline is a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is extremely important for brain function.
Dosage: One to two tablespoons per day. One tablespoon provides 7.5 grams of powder. Lecithin granules can be added to juices, cereals, soups or used as a cooking ingredient. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The package of 250 grams provides 33 doses of 7.5g.
