Description
Tyrosine is an essential amino acid that has the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, being the precursor to the neurotransmitters dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine (better known as adrenaline). It is also a precursor to thyroxine, catecholamines and the most important human pigment, melanin. Tyrosine is not found in large quantities in the body because it is metabolized at a rapid rate.
Each capsule provides 500mg of free tyrosine for maximum absorption and bioavailability.
Dosage: 1 to 4 capsules daily, with juice or water rather than milk. Amino acids are better absorbed when taken half an hour before meals or at bedtime. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
