Of the 300 species of aloe that exist worldwide, Aloe Vera is the best known and most widely used species. Most aloe species thrive in South Africa. Through the development of trade and colonies they became known and spread to the rest of the world. In the Western world, aloe is a popular indoor plant and its traditional use consists of external application of the gel, resulting from the breaking of its thick triangular leaves. The chemical composition of the gel is rapidly altered and therefore converted into an ointment to be stored for a longer period of time. Aloe juice comes from special cells of the inner part of the leaves, which contain a percentage of the gel. Of the many traditional uses of aloe juice, the best known is the effect it has on the functioning of the digestive system. However, the juice has a bitter taste for it and the capsules are an easier way to take it.

Lamberts Aloe Vera capsules contain 50mg of concentrated aloe equivalent to 10,000mg of fresh Aloe Vera juice.

Dosage: 1 to 2 tablets daily. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
