Coenzyme Q10 (Co Q10) is a vitamin-like lipid component with antioxidant properties that is produced in the liver, dispersed in the mitochondria of cells and is a key element in the transport of cellular bioenergy throughout the body, hence it is also known as Ubiquinone (Ubiquitous = ubiquitous). The highest levels of Q10 in the body are found in the cells of organs with high energy needs such as e.g. heart, liver.
